you will see on the front page there a link to the bonus key usage...just click thru, follow directions for download...and cross fingers

I can't find the bonus music key in my CE. Is it like the trial key booklet?

I registered at directsong, got the download, installed it, let it run, and it comes to this screen that says 'wait a moment and then click play.'
Play stays greyed out for over a half hour, and I finally close it, giving up on that.
I then went to the folder I put the music in and double click one of the songs and they just open in windows media player 'in red' and I get some error message saying 'unknown error'...

Dude, dude, dude.. I believe I saw your post in another forum thread as well on this same topic...
You dont NEED to play the soundtrack through windows media player to hear the music in-game!! Once the little .exe installs the music on the computer for you, it will play in the guildwars game automatically (Without the help of Windows Media Player).
The windows media player option is so you can listen to the music while you are offline from Guildwars.. (your not even playing the game at all..)..
-- And with that... it sounds like the problem you are having is because WMP can't connect to the internet to verify your windows protection license.. Disable whatever firewall's blocking it or something to that regard and you should be good... Thats my best advice.
Your Windows MP problem could be one of any number of things though.. It could just be corrupted, in which case you're likely screwed.. Do a search on the web for other players that can play windows protected content.. theres sure to be other freeware prgrms out there.

Make sure that you have the latest DRM and other updates for Windows Media Player, by going to Tools/Windows Update in your browser. Also make sure that WMP is configured to be allowed to connect to the internet.
